Torres: "You've been sabotaging the ship." Vihaar: "There's no other way to make them understand." Torres: "So that's your way of getting even?" Angrily: "Killing your crew? Causing an explosion that will contaminate other ships?" Vihaar yells furiously: "They poisoned me!" |
 | He lunges to attack but his attack is deflected when Voyager fires on it to move the freighter. He and Torres fall down. |
 | Voyager deflects the freighter's course. |  |
| Voyager's bridge.
Tuvok: "The freighter is on course for the star." Janeway: "Away team, we've adjusted the vessel's course. It's heading for an O type star." |  |
 | Malon freighter's control room.
Janeway to Torres, via comms: "You have to get out of there now." Vihaar: "No. No." |  |
 | The Vihaar activates a control. |
| Voyager's bridge.
Paris: "The freighter's manoeuvring thrusters just activated. It's altering course." |  |
| Janeway: "Compensate."
Tuvok: "No effect. I'm detecting radiation surges in the theta tanks. They're going to detonate in three minutes." |  |
| Janeway: "Harry?"
Kim: "As long as they're in the control room I can't get a lock." Janeway, via comms: "Janeway to away team. Get those maneuvering thrusters offline then get out of the contaminated area. We can't get a transporter lock on you." |  |
 | Malon freighter's control room.
Torres to the Vihaar who is at the main console: "Get the hell away from there, now!" Vihaar: "No! It's too late!" |
 | Torres tries diplomacy, all the time moving toward him, pipe at the ready: "OK. OK. Look, I know what they've done to you. They used you. You want to hurt them." |
 | Torres: " Listen, listen to me. I know. I know that you're so angry you want to destroy everything in sight, but there's another way to make them understand. I'm on your side. I can help you. Innocent people are going to die if you do this!" |
 | Vihaar: "No. It's over." |
 | Torres: "Please, please, please let me help you!"
Vihaar: "No." Torres: "Step away!" |
 | They fight. Releasing her pent-up anger, Torres beats him down with the pipe. The Vihaar sprawls on the floor. |  |
 | Torres desperately works the controls. |
| On Voyager's bridge, Paris reports: "The Malon's thrusters are powering down." |  |
| Tuvok: "I have restored the freighter's trajectory."
Janeway, via comms: "B'Elanna, get out of there." |  |
 | In the Malon freighter control room, Torres goes to Neelix and supports his weight as she helps him move toward the door: "Come on, we've got to go." Fesek struggles to his feet. "Fesek." |
 | They move with painful slowness, but as fast as they can, out of the control room. |
