DARK FRONTIER Episodes 109 & 110 Part M

 

Borg Queen: "It's not too late to save them." The choice is between agreeing to assimilate Humanity or save Janeway and the Delta Flyer crew. Seven is silent. "As you wish."

Paris: "They've isolated our shields again. Three vessels are converging. I'm remodulating."

Seven: "You underestimate them." The Borg Queen looks at her then looks back at the monitor. Borg Queen: "It's time for a more aggressive approach."

Doctor: "I thought they couldn't see us." Paris: "They can't! They're firing blind!"

Janeway inserts the subdermal probe into the chest of a drone regenerating in an alcove.

Janeway: "Wake him. It's transmitting."

She follows the drone as he walks through toward the forcefield. As he goes through it, she takes a tricorder reading. "I've got it. Field modulation is 324.95."

Tuvok tunes Janeway's bio-dampener to that frequency. Then: "Proceed."

Janeway walks through the forcefield but then it deactivates. "It's offline."

Tuvok: "You'll be detected." Janeway: "Then I'd better hurry. You've got to disable the shield matrix around that chamber."

Tuvok understands and goes back to continue work.

Paris: "It's no use, they've locked on to our shield modulators. They're adapting the second we change frequencies."
Borg Collective: "We are the Borg. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile."

Borg Queen, speaking the last words, as she is the Borg Collective: "Resistance is futile. You have failed them."

Seven: "No."
She goes to strike the Borg Queen but the Borg Queen seizes her hand.
Borg Queen: "We believed you would be an asset to us. We were wrong. You are weak."

Janeway: "Don't listen to her, Seven. She's irrelevant." As drones advance on her, Janeway tells the Borg Queen: "Call them off or I'll destroy you."

Borg Queen: "Your weapons are useless." Janeway: "Don't be so sure. My tactical officer is disabling the shields around this room." She taps her combadge. "Tom, status." Paris, via comms: "We've targeted the chamber, Captain." Janeway: "Let her go, or I'll give the order to fire." Borg Queen: "You would be destroyed as well, along with your crewman." Janeway: "Better than being one of you."

The drones move closer.

Janeway, via comms: "Tom, high-yield torpedoes, full spread. Fire on my command." Paris, via comms: "Captain, they've disengaged the tractor." Janeway, via comms: "Hold your fire. Beam us out of here." Paris, via comms: "A dispersal field just activated around the chamber you're in. I can't get a lock." Janeway: "Seven, shut down that field."

Seven's loyalties are torn. She looks first at one then the other.
Borg Queen: "Don't listen to her. She's poisoned your thoughts long enough."
Janeway: "I'm giving you an order."

Borg Queen: "One order, one voice, insignificant."

Seven decides. She goes over to a wall control panel and inserts her tubules into it.

Janeway, via comms: "Tom, energise."
Seven: "She's adapting!"
Paris, via comms: "The field went up again, Captain. I can't beam you out."

Borg Queen: "You will assist the Collective as drones. Assimilate them." The drones move closer to Janeway. Seven: "Captain, target the power node directly above this alcove. It will disrupt her command interface." When the Borg Queen glares, Seven tells her wrily: "Our thoughts are one."

Janeway fires at the power node.

It damages the power node. Seven and Janeway are beamed out.
