The Doctor is monitoring the time on the tricorder. "Now, Mr Paris!"
At that moment a scavenger bursts in and attacks Paris.

          Tuvok and Noss arrive, and
          Tuvok shoots the scavenger.

On Voyager Janeway orders: "Initialise transport sequence. Energise." The away team and Noss, are caught in the transporter beam.
Kim is at the transporter controls. As the pattern buffers fill, he reports: "We've got them." The figures materialise. "Welcome back."
          Kim indicates Noss: "Who?"
          Tuvok: "A friend."

Tuvok: "Commander Tuvok, personal log, stardate 52438.9. We are en route to Noss' homeworld. As I prepare to say goodbye I find myself experiencing a certain discomfort."
Paris catches Tuvok up in the corridor on the way to the transporter room.
          Paris: "Tuvok. Weird day."
          Tuvok: "Problems?"
Paris: "I've spent the last two months wondering if I'd ever see B'Elanna again. As far as she's concerned it's only been two days. I guess I expected her to have missed me too."
Tuvok: "Were it not for the time differential, I'm sure she would have experienced a deep sense of loss."
Paris: "You know something? I always thought that beneath that cold Vulcan exterior lay, er, an even colder Vulcan interior. Now I'm convinced you're a hopeless romantic."
Tuvok: "There is no need to insult me, Mr Paris."

Noss and Neelix are in the transporter room. Neelix: "Oh here they are now. I was just getting Noss' recipe for sautéed spiders."
Paris: "Let's just say they're an acquired taste."
Noss hugs Paris: "Goodbye. Thank you."
Afterwards Paris says: "Come on, Neelix." Neelix catches on that Tuvok and Noss wish to say farewell and follows him, saying, "Oh of course." Paris indicates the transporter operator: "Crewman." They leave Tuvok and Noss alone together.
          Noss: "I'm sorry."
          Tuvok: "For what?"
Noss: "I know how difficult this was for you, for us. I just wish things had been different."

          Tuvok: "As do I."

He extends his fingers and initiates a mind-meld.

Tuvok assists Noss onto the transporter pad.

Tuvok: "Live long and prosper, Noss."
          Noss: "You too."
