MEDICAL REPORT:

The Doctor has to contend with the results of a number of electromagnetic strikes which occur mysteriously throughout the ship., later discovered to be generated by an alien entity.

After an EM strike against the ship, Ensign Mulchaey is reported by Chakotay to Janeway as having bumped his head on the ceiling; there is no indication that he receives medical attention for it.

Seven is brought to Sickbay after being trapped in Cargobay 2 by mysterious alien "gas"; she escapes into the corridor by using the manual door actuator located in the cargobay's floor and Chakotay disables the forcefields set up by the alien intruder by firing at the corridor's control panel.

Seven regains consciousness to find herself in Sickbay, to be told by the Doctor: "You're fortunate. Another few moments and you'd have been asphyxiated."

At the same time that Seven is occupying the primary biobed in Sickbay there is another female crewmember on another biobed. Paris enters Sickbay helped by Janeway after suffering an EM surge from the conn console.

After the Doctor's program goes offline (see below), the computer sounds an alert and reports: "Warning: power failure." so there is a hurried evacuation of Sickbay.

DOCTOR'S LOG:

The alien entity causes the Doctor to go offline.

When Voyager enters a class J nebula, to return the entity to its home there, Janeway orders main power shut down to make sure they do not attract any residual EM radiation.

The Sickbay lights go out.

The Doctor orders the computer: "Computer, deactivate EMH." The computer takes his program offline.

DOCTOR'S QUOTE:

"My matrix is destabilising!"
