TSUNKATSE
Season 6 : Episode 135

DOCTOR'S LOG:

The Doctor hears that Norcadian museums are among the finest in the sector.

MEDICAL REPORT:

Neelix gets half his face sunburnt, then has an allergic reaction to the leola root ointment he makes to cure the condition. Tuvok and Seven take a shuttlecraft to study a micronebula on the verge of collapse located approximately 1.6 light years from Voyager's position, but their shuttle is targetted by forces in the employ of Penk, the Tsunkatse impresario. An explosive device is beamed aboard the shuttle and Tuvok is injured in the blast. Penk provides some medical treatment for Tuvok, though he compels Seven to fight in the Tsunkatse arena to save his life. During her beginner match with the Pendari champion, Seven is soundly beaten (which was Penk's intention) and a Hirogen hunter treats her with a non-Starfleet dermal regenerator. After Tuvok, Seven and the Hirogen hunter are beamed from Penk's ship to Voyager, they are treated in Sickbay. A Tsunkatse fighter wears polaron disruptors on both hands and feet and each disruptor delivers a bioplasmic charge when it comes in contact with one of the opponent's target sensors; the jolt causes temporary pain and weakness. Seven was exposed to numerous bioplasmic charges during her forced fights in the Tsunkatse arena, especially when she, a beginner, suffered greatly at the hands of the Pendari champion as a deliberate mismatch scheduled by Penk.

DOCTOR'S QUOTE:

As he accedes to Seven's request to leave her alone with the Hirogen hunter: "Very well. But if you should need anything - an analgesic, a phaser rifle - don't hesitate to ask."
