MEDICAL LOGS
THE KILLING GAME, Part 2
Season 4 : Episode 87
DOCTOR'S LOG:
What began as World War II on the holodeck spills over so that war is waged throughout Voyager as the Alpha Hirogen is unwilling to destroy the holodeck technology or the Voyager crew. He insists that Janeway be found and brought to him, as he intends to make a deal with her. Meanwhile, she and Seven pretend to be part of the simulation and gather with the rest of the French Resistance - Tuvok, Torres, and two senior American officers, Chakotay and Paris. They devise a plan to allow Janeway access to the console in Sickbay from which the Hirogen Medic controls the crew's neural interfaces, although the rest of the crew, still controlled by the neural interfaces, believe she plans to enter and destroy the Nazis' advanced munitions laboratory. She is successful, heavily damaging Sickbay in the explosion caused by the explosive charges she sets, and the crew's minds are restored. Janeway is captured, but she and Alpha Hirogen agree a ceasefire whereby she will give the Hirogen the holotechnology to put his visionary plan into effect.
However, Turanj kills his superior and the Germans fight on. They capture the senior Voyager officers and are about to execute them when Neelix and the Doctor bring reinforcements in the form of Klingons from the Klingon battle simulation.

Klingons make a surprise attack on the German forces - see also the DOCTOR'S QUOTE below
Meanwhile, Janeway is forced to kill Turanj. The holo-emitters are made to overload and the simulations end. The stalemate ends when a truce is negotiated with Turanj's successor and, true to her word to the original Alpha Hirogen, Janeway gives the Hirogen a Federation hologenerator before they withdraw from Voyager. Her decision to do so and the subsequent usage of the technology by the Hirogen will have a significant impact on the Doctor in three years' time, in 2377, in
[#155 and #156 Flesh And Blood].
MEDICAL REPORT:
Janeway is shot in the leg. Seven is shot in the stomach.
MORGUE RECORD:
When injured Hirogen are brought into Sickbay, the Doctor is ordered by his captors to give them priority treatment. He replies that a crewman (who is not named), who has more serious injuries, will die without treatment. Since the Doctor is deactivated moments later, it can be assumed the crewman dies.
