DOCTOR'S LOG:

When Paris and Tuvok agree to collaborate on providing an ending to Tuvok's training program Insurrection Alpha, the Doctor accosts them in the empty holodeck with a PADD containing suggestions for them to use. The pair put off the Doctor, with Tuvok overriding his autonomous controls and transferring the irritated him back to Sickbay.

When Tuvok and Paris re-activate the program, they discover that ages ago Seska secretly reprogrammed with a number of fatal booby-traps. In Seska's nightmarish holoscenario, the reprogrammed Doctor (a hologram of a hologram of course), rather than treating Paris' phaser burn, adds 20 c.c.'s nitric acid to exacerbate it.
