MEDICAL REPORT:

Voyager has been suffering attacks by Kazon ships for some time, in which a dozen crewmembers have sustained serious injuries and, according to Chakotay, two crewmembers, whom he does not name, were killed. In one attack Crewman Kurt Bendera, formerly one of Chakotay's Maquis crew, is brought to Sickbay after being a console explosion catches him right in the face. The Doctor reports that Bendera is not responding to treatment and has Kes administer 75 milligrammes of impedrazine in the hope that it would stimulate his cardiac functions but he has sustained so much injury it might be too late. When Kes reports no effect, the Doctor uses a cortical stimulator but Bendera dies as he was too badly injured. Later, following Neelix's arrival back on board with a group of Trabe in tow, the Doctor carries out medical checks and provides treatment as necessary as a result of their ordeal as prisoners of the Kazon.
