The Doctor attends Kes' party on the Holodeck to celebrate her second birthday, where he takes the role of barman and unfortunately attracts the lascivious attentions of the holo-proprietress Sandrine.

MEDICAL REPORT:

Baxter continues his exercise routine, as mentioned in  [#7 Eye of the Needle] although it is assumed he is approaching it less strenuously, as ordered at that time by the Doctor.

To Kes, commenting on her surprise birthday party: "Surprises have been known to cause acute hyperventilation, oesophageal spasms and, in extreme cases, even coronary arrest. One can never be too careful."
