MEDICAL REPORT:

The Doctor is in attendance when Dr Ma'Bor Jetrel, a Haakonian scientist and inventor of the weapon of mass destruction called the metreon cascade, examines Neelix and pronounces that the Talaxian has the fatal disease metremia.

Later Jetrel takes the Doctor offline to prevent his discovering his real plan. Following the failed attempt to reintegrate the DNA fragments of metreon cascade victims, Jetrel informs Neelix that he lied about the metremia poisoning and that Neelix is actually fine.

EMH SPECIFICATION:

The Doctor takes his program offline by ordering the computer to "override Command 1-EMH-Alpha and end program". In later episodes he will simply say: "Computer, deactivate EMH."
